It's Mothers Day and I would like to acknowledge all those mothers/parents out there that deserve recognition for facing the toughest parenting challenges life is thrown at them, yet faces them with courage and dignity.
I use to always wonder what I would be like as a mummy and how I would deal with the sleepless nights, tears and tantrums. However, reflecting on the devastating period during your illness and since losing you, such things now feel trivial. It's certainly instilled something in me that makes me embrace my role as a mother and tackle parenting head on without questioning my abilities or decision making with your little brother Joel.
We are just arriving at Chiltern to visit you and tend to your wooden memorial post. It will be lovely and glossy once we've finished.
